Project description:
The project aims to develop the theory of dynamical systems and apply it to biochemical reaction networks to model and interpret real-world processes. During the analysis of these systems, special attention is paid to the examination of stability, bifurcation phenomena, and multistability, as these play a key role in various scientific fields, particularly in biomedicine and biochemical applications. Multistability allows a system to exist in multiple stable states; its analysis is essential for understanding biochemical and biological systems.

Biochemical reaction networks are particularly interesting because these systems often exhibit a combination of multistability, instability, and bifurcation phenomena, resulting in complex behaviors. This is especially important for physiological modeling and therapy optimization. The proper mathematical and computational analysis of biochemical reaction networks enables a deeper understanding of the behavior of these systems and allows for predictions of changes based on the expected dynamics.

The project employs both symbolic and numerical computational methods. Symbolic calculations allow for the precise description of critical points and bifurcations of network stability, while numerical methods facilitate the simulation and analysis of large-scale, complex systems. Through these simulations, researchers can analyze system behavior in detail and identify the impact of various parameters on network dynamics. Additionally, the algorithms and computational methods developed during the research will be published as open-source software tools, allowing both the scientific community and industry to benefit from the results.

The project holds not only theoretical significance but also offers substantial practical contributions. One of the main objectives is to improve design processes in the field of biomedicine through a better understanding of biochemical network behavior, particularly in drug development and physiological regulation. More precise analysis of the behavior of these systems will enable the modeling of new drug mechanisms and the optimization of therapeutic protocols. Furthermore, the research results can contribute to the development of sustainable technologies, particularly in industrial biotechnology and environmental biochemistry, where precise control of chemical reaction networks is crucial.

The project uses a multidisciplinary approach, involving experts in mathematics, medicine, biochemistry, and engineering. This interdisciplinarity is key to the project’s success, as analyzing the behavior of dynamical systems and biochemical networks is a complex task that requires the integration of multiple scientific fields. Researchers from various disciplines work closely together within the project to find comprehensive solutions for the analysis of biochemical systems’ behavior.

The research also emphasizes sustainable and environmentally conscious solutions that reduce the negative impact of chemical processes on the environment. One of the project’s key goals is to develop new methods that support more efficient and sustainable control of chemical reactions, particularly in the fields of environmental biochemistry and industrial biotechnology.

The long-term impact of the project is expected to be significant not only for the scientific community but also for industrial applications. The new methods and algorithms developed through the project will contribute to advancements in biomedicine and biotechnology systems, offering the potential for new, sustainable solutions in the management of chemical reactions and networks.
