As a part of Hungarian Scientific Season, a workshop was organized on 22nd November 2017 by the Physiological Controls Research Center has taken place at the John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics of Óbuda University.
The main aim of the workshop was to sum up the experiences and results of the first year of the Tamed Cancer ERC Stg grant, while further emphasis was put on the discussion of future challenges including scientific and administrative affairs as well. In the first part of the workshop, after the introduction by the Principal Investigator Prof. Dr. habil. Levente Kovács, all the researchers of the project summarized their contributions to the audience. Prof. Dr. Zoltán Sápi professor of pathology from the Semmelweis University gave a speech about the connection of engineering approaches in medicine and targeted cancer therapies, while the post-docs (Dr. Dániel András Drexler, Dr. Johanna Sájevicsné Sápi and Dr. Dávid Csercsik) gave presentations in the topic of their narrower field of research. The results of student participants of the project (Bence Czakó and Tamás Gönczy) were also shortly presented. In the second part of the workshop, mainly administrative affairs were discussed with the administrative staff of the University.
